Supercrawl organizers and fans alike are extremely thrilled about the award winning Hamilton rockers teaming up with Boris Brott & The National Academy Orchestra for the 2014 Supercrawl Secret Pop-‐Up Show, which will include four performances featuring orchestrated songs from the Arkells’ upcoming album ‘High Noon’, which is set to drop on August 5. !
The Arkells’ latest album is produced by Tony Hoffer (Phoenix, M83, Beck), and features string arrangements and cinematic production elements.
This event also is a chance for fans to catch an arm’s length view of the band before they hit the Hamilton International Airport Stage as Supercrawl headliners on Friday, September 12. In addition to performing at Supercrawl, the Arkells are also assisting festival organizers with programming and sponsoring the local stage.
With extremely limited capacity (approximately 70 people) at each performance, these Arkells concerts will be somewhere between a club show and an art exhibition. They promise to be memorable, possibly even historic gigs.
Attendees are asked, but not required, to make a cash donation at the door with proceeds going to SpecKids.
Tickets available at Dr. Disc and Cheapies…limit 2 per person.
