Judas Priest have hit a milestone.
Their latest album ‘Redeemer of Souls’, hit the UK album top 20 at the number 12 position marking the band’s third-best chart placing in their career following British Steel hitting number 4 in 1980 and Screaming For Vengeance hitting number 11 two years later.
Redeemer Of Souls, the band’s 17th album, dropped on Monday and marks the band’s first studio album following the departure of longtime guitarist KK Downing, who was replaced by Richie Faulkner.
The band also plan on going as long as they can.
Recently frontman Rob Halford confirmed that ‘Redeemer of Souls’ would not be their last saying: “No – absolutely not.”
Halford has also said that the title track is his favorite, stating: “It’s very precise, articulate song and it carries all the classic vibe of Judas Priest.”
The album made it’s world album premiere on Loaded Radio on Y108, which featured conversation with the band about the latest album.
