Black Sabbath May Release Extra Songs From ‘13’ Sessions
Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi says that the band may eventually release unused tracks from the studio session from their 2013 chart topping reunion album “13.”
Said Tony: “For the last LP we did record 16 songs (and only used 12), so we may still put something out from that.”
Black Sabbath will launch their 2016 farewell tour on January 20 in Omaha, NE before dates in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and a return to North America, including February 21st at First Ontario Centre.
Geddy Lee Optimistic About Rush’s Future
Rush’s Geddy Lee is remaining optimistic about the band’s future – even though he admits they’ve not been able to agree on the subject yet. The band undertook what’s thought to have been their final large-scale tour earlier this year, and haven’t reached a decision on what – if anything – is to come after it.
“At this point, we’re not able to agree on doing more tours,” said Geddy. “It doesn’t look possible. But I would say that, being an optimist and a patient person, I hope that will change. We’ve talked about more music as Rush. There are other ways of presenting our music to the public.”
Metallica’s Kirk Hammett Shrugs Off Popularity Polls
Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett says he doesn’t pay attention to his elevated status in popularity polls as he’s just a “shy, nerdy kid” at heart who stumbled across something he was good at.
He says, “Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always been really good at losing popularity contests. So to all of a sudden start winning these contests as an adult, I kind of know better (than to believe them).”
