Guns N’ Roses Reveal Clue To Reunion Lineup
Guns N’ Roses are a week away from launching their reunion shows in Las Vegas, and a new series of tweets teases who will be behind the drumming for the band. To date, the group has only officially announced the involvement of Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan.
A tweet with a photo featuring Ahead brand drumsticks has hardcore fans speculating that Steven Adler is back in the fold; neither former drummer Matt Sorum or Frank Ferrer use that brand.
Additionally, Sunset Strip club the Whisky A Go- Go recently teased “a big announcement” following the cancellation of an upcoming gig by Adler: “The Steven Adler show on 4/1 has been canceled. Stay tuned for a big announcement ! #GunsNRoses.”

It’s a live recording of the group’s 2003 show at the venue, and front man James Hetfield says there is an almost endless supply of unique live and studio recordings in the Metallica vaults: almost every show, rehearsal and jam.
— Motorhead have announced that they will be releasing a new live album, called “Clean Your Clock”, on May 27th. Two shows at the Zenith in Munich, Germany were recorded last November on what turned out to be their final trek as founder Lemmy Kilmister passed away at his Los Angeles home on December 28.

1967—Jimi Hendrix set fire to his guitar onstage for the first time during a concert at the Astoria in London. Hendrix burnt his hands during the stunt & was taken to a hospital. That Fender Stratocaster sold for £280,000 at a 2008 London auction of rock memorabilia.
1984—Motley Crue peaked at number seventeen on the Billboard 200 Album Chart with Shout at the Devil which went on to be certified four times Platinum in the U.S.
1992—Def Leppard released their fifth studio album ‘Adrenalize’, the first by the band following the 1991 death of guitarist Steve Clark. Former Dio and Whitesnake guitarist Vivian Campbell, was brought in as the newest member in April 1992.
1995—Lance Cunningham tried to rush the stage and stab Jimmy Page at a Page and Plant concert at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, MI. Cunningham was stopped by two security guards & after being arrested, told police he wanted to kill Page because he thought Led Zeppelin’s music contained satanic messages.
2009—The Osbournes: Reloaded premiered on Fox & was cancelled after only one episode aired.
2011—Australian band Men at Work lost an appeal against a ruling which found their 1983 hit single ‘Down Under’ was partly copied from a folk song. Australia’s Federal Court upheld the decision which stated part of the song’s melody came from the tune Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree.

No playoffs this year north of border
For the first time since the 1969-70 season, the Stanley Cup Playoffs will be contested entirely in the United States.
With 11 days left in the regular season, all seven Canadian-based teams have been eliminated from playoff contention. The Philadelphia Flyers’ 2-1 shootout victory against the Washington Capitals yesterday officially eliminated the Ottawa Senators, the last Canadian team that had any shot to make the playoffs.
On a happier note… the Blue Jays begin their regular season on Sunday!
