Metallica just got a new gig. As we await their new album, the boys have used some of their free time to become the new faces of an Italian menswear brand, Brioni. It ties in (pun intended) to Metallica’s new eyewear collection for a new advertising campaign.
The black-and-white photos, which were inspired by Queen’s ” Bohemian Rhapsody,” were shot last month in San Francisco.

— Slash has given his first interview since Guns N’ Roses kicked off their Not In This Lifetime Tour… the first time he and singer Axl Rose have performed together in the past 20 years, saying “everybody’s really getting along great and I think everybody’s come a long way.”
— Extreme are aiming to release their next record next year and say they’re planning a “full-fledged” tour. Now singer Gary Cherone says that they are hoping that their sixth album will finally be unveiled next year.
— Some of AC/DC singer Brian Johnson’s earliest recording may soon be released. The Jasper Hart Band was formed in mid-1970 with Brian on vocals, and master tapes of some of their recordings have been rediscovered. Check out a clip of “I Want To Be Around” here.

Since the dawn of the wheel, the simple circle has followed the same forumla. William Liddiard wanted to put a literal spin on the wheel, and has finally debuted his new tires.
His new tires can roll back and forth like all other wheels, but they can also roll on their sides!

1976—The Clash made their live debut, opening for the Sex Pistols at the Black Swan in Sheffield, U.K.
1982—Ozzy Osbourne married his manager Sharon Arden in Maui. Ozzy would later state he chose July 4th to get married so he would remember the date.
1985—Dire Straits began a thirteen night stand at London’s Wembley Arena. All thirteen concerts were sold out.
1990—Paul Stanley from KISS sustained neck and back injuries when he was involved in a car crash in New Jersey.
1993—The Smashing Pumpkins played an acoustic show at the strip club Raymond’s Revue Bar, London.
1995—The Ramones released their final studio album Adios Amigos. Joey Ramone stated it would be their final album due to their disappointment of their modest commercial success.
2005—U2 won a court battle for the return of items in which former stylist Lola Cashman was accused of stealing, including a Stetson hat & earrings. Cashman claimed the items were given to her at the end of a U.S. tour.
