We’ve all been there in our relationships. We’ve done something to upset our significant other and there’s no defending it. It can be something as big as forgetting a Birthday or Anniversary. It can be something as small as leaving the toilet seat up … wait … is that small??
The doghouse is inevitable. We all wind up there at some point. What matters is a) How we get out of it, b) staying out of it by not repeating what got us there c) being truly forgiven.
I think “C” is the biggest part of a successful relationship. Grudges are relationship kryptonite. That’s the ironic part. It’s not the actions of the doghouse tenant that matter most. It’s the Landlord.
