Happy first day of Winter. Yes, I capitalized Winter because I love it! I admit the end of winter can be long and drawn out, but how can you not love the first snowfalls especially leading up to Christmas!!!
However, like anything, there are two sides to every story. And with Winter comes Seasonal Affective Disorder.
Here’s the definition according to the Mayo Clinic:
“Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that’s related to changes in seasons — SAD begins and ends at about the same times every year. If you’re like most people with SAD, your symptoms start in the fall and continue into the winter months, sapping your energy and making you feel moody. Less often, SAD causes depression in the spring or early summer.
“Play with blue light and feel better!
Blue Light Therapy App is intended to stimulate your brain with blue light. SupraChiasmatic Nucleus (SCN), a region of your brain receives information about the light that you see through your eyes and makes sleep/wake transition decisions.
I do not know if the app will work for you – when I play with it, I FEEL VERY GOOD!”
Give it a shot and let me know what you think?
