You know when you’re standing on the curb in the rain and a bus comes by and splashes you? Now substitute ‘rain’ with ‘snow’ and ‘bus’ with ‘train’.
Gregg Spriggs, a weapons physicist at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, has preserved a number of films of US atomic weapons tests that were literally rotting away in classified storage. He scanned 4,200 of the 10,000 films to digital and got 750 of them declassified. He’s posted 65 of the films—an “initial set”—to YouTube.
And finally, this rabbit really wants some chicken… and not for dinner, either.
