We haven’t heard the last of late Motorhead legend Lemmy Kilmister. Before his death he was working on songs for a solo album, and it’s now nearing completion. A producer from Germany is overseeing the project, which included some tracks recorded with Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters. There’s not set date for release, although they’re aiming for the end of the year.
Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards is the latest performer added to the all-star lineup of the upcoming tribute show to country music legend Merle Haggard, which takes place April 6th in Nashville. Aside from a slew of A-list country talent, Keith will be joined by Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons.
The Who’s return to The Isle Of Wight Festival in 2004 is being released via a new Blu-Ray/DVD video and CD compilation on June 2nd. The 24 songs include their greatest hits. The show was the band’s first time playing the festival since their legendary 1970 performance.
