When you’re single, your time is pretty much torn between being content with being on your own, and being ready to find someone (hopefully) with which to spend the rest of your life.
When you’re finally ready to jump back into the dating pool, be sure that you’re not sabotaging your efforts on finding that special someone. Watch out for these roadblocks to happiness:
Don’t put your ex on a pedestal. There’s a reason why you’re not dating them anymore.
Don’t keep your ex around. It’s a guaranteed way to keep anyone from even thinking about dating you.
Don’t play it too cool. If you like someone, tell them. You’re not in grade 3 anymore.
Don’t write off someone who isn’t your idea of perfect. You shouldn’t settle, but make sure that you’re not being too picky, either.
Don’t constantly complain that you’re single. No one want to be around someone who’s always unhappy.
Don’t insist on drinking during dates. All you do when you drunk-date is prove that you can’t be taken seriously.
Do any of these sound familiar? What bad things have happened to you on a date?
