Earlier this year, Crayola made a big deal about retiring Dandelion Yellow from its classic 24-box of crayons, and up until now the only thing we knew about its replacement was that it’s to be a shade of blue.
Chemists were trying to come up with new materials to be used in electronics when they came up with this bright blue pigment by accident, and Crayola came-a-calling to get in on the action.
The official name of the colour is YInMn (yihn-mihn) blue, though it’s expected that a more descriptive name will adorn the crayon.
What name would you give the colour? (No, Bluey McBlueface is not an acceptable answer)
