Chris Cornell’s widow Vicky has shared letter that she has written to her late husband where she vows to stand up for his legacy and to take care of their children. Chris was found dead in his hotel room following a concert in Detroit on May 17th. The coroner’s report ruled the death a suicide but Vicky felt that Chris would never intentionally take his own life, and has wondered if his medications played a part in his death.
Guns N’ Roses have announced additional North American dates for their “Not In This Lifetime” reunion tour, and they will include a date at the ACC in Toronto on Sunday, October 29th. U2 performed their 1987 classic, “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”, on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The band were promoting their North American tour, which marks the 30th anniversary of “The Joshua Tree” album, which they’re playing in its entirety for the first time. Guitarist The Edge also mentioned the state of their new album, saying, “It will be out definitely in the next 27 years.” Watch the interview and performance here:
Original KISS drummer Peter Criss is getting ready for his final performance on June 16th, and says that part of the reason for calling it quits is the state of the music industry, and how he’s not optimistic about the future of rock. He says that he just doesn’t see a current crop of musicians coming up to replace the likes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and other legendary bands.
