He famously finished a set after falling off stage and breaking his leg, and now even curfew doesn’t shut his band down. Organizers of the Bottlerock festival in California pulled the plug on the PA during the set-closing song “Everlong” due to a strict curfew, and when the crowd realized what had happened, they helped the band finish the song. Bruce Springsteen made a surprise appearance at a Steven Van Zandt’s solo show at New Jersey’s Count Basie Theatre where he joined the guitarist for an impromptu jam during the show’s encore. They played “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out”, as well as Marvin Gaye’s “Can I Get A Witness” and “I Don’t Want to Go Home.”
