Queens of the Stone Age have released their new single, “The Way You Used To Do” from their album “Villians”, which is scheduled to hit stores on August 25. Just a day before the song’s release, QOTSA released a promo video with frontman Josh Homme forced to endure a polygraph test while trying to avoid announcing the album’s title and first single.
Arcade Fire are preparing for next month’s release of “Everything Now”, their fifth studio album. They’ve been performing new songs from it, including the album’s title track and “Creature Comfort,” among others. They’ve also released a teaser clip for “Creature Comfort”… a parody of commercial for a cereal that’s just marshmallows and Ritalin. For 30 years, Neil Young has hosted an annual benefit concert for the Bridge School, a non-profit facility that serves students with severe speech and physical impairments, raising millions of dollars in the process. This year, the show will not go on. Neil and the school released joint statements thanking supporters for their years of contributions and confirming that this year’s benefit is canceled. He will continue to fundraise for the school, though if the concert is to return, it’ll be with someone else at the helm.
