Black Sabbath have announced that they will release a limited edition vinyl box set, called “The Ten Year War”. It’ll be out September 29th. They’ll be individually-numbered, 180-gram splatter-colored remastered editions of eight albums from the band’s classic 1970s catalog—from their groundbreaking self-titled 1970 debut to 1978’s “Never Say Die!”—alongside a series of rarities and goodies.
Former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony thinks that the time is right for the band to stage a reunion tour that would include him on bass, and Sammy Hagar sharing lead vocals with David Lee Roth, understanding that it’s something that Van Halen fans want to see, especially since all members are still relatively healthy. But Michael also says that he doesn’t want the drama of past reunion attempts… it’s got to be fun for the band members, too.
KISS bassist Gene Simmons made headlines when the news broke that he filed a trademark request to secure ownership and rights to the use of the hand gesture known as the “Devil’s Horns.” However, there was a ton of backlash over the move, noting that Gene was not the first person to be documented using the gesture… so Gene has now withdrawn his application to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
