Nine Inch Nails will release two new EPs before the end of the year to finish their trilogy of releases that started with their Dec. 2016 first volume, Not the Actual Events. They have now announced that the second installment, Add Violence, will arrive July 21. The band also debuted the opening track “Less Than” in anticipation of the impending release of their five-track EP.
Arcade Fire have released another track from their upcoming album Everything Now, which hit stores on July 28. The latest song, “Electric Blue,” is accompanied by an eclectic music video. In it, Regine Chassagne walks through dirty, chaotic streets of New Orleans at night, while the rest of the band act as street cleaners. “Electric Blue” follows previous releases, including the title track, “Signs of Life” and “Creature Comfort.”
Radiohead has given their fans a unique musical Easter Eggs: they hid a vintage computer program on the tape that comes with the 20th anniversary edition of the OK Computer album. The deluxe box set edition contains a cassette mixtape compiled by the band, taken from OK Computer session archives and demo tapes. The code isn’t written in the liner notes or on an external drive, but actually embedded within the audio itself. Check it out:
