The Los Angeles County coroner has confirmed that Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington died of suicide at his home on July 20. According to the L.A. County medical examiner, an employee discovered the body Thursday morning hanging from a belt on a bedroom door. A half-empty bottle of alcohol was found in the room, but no suicide note. An autopsy and toxicology reports are pending.

Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour has shared a video preview of his forthcoming “Live At Pompeii” concert film ahead of its September 29th release. It was filmed at an ancient Roman amphitheatre that was built in 90 B.C., and entombed in ash when Vesuvius erupted in 79 A.D. Pink Floyd played there 45 years ago – with no audience – for the film, Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii.
Guns N’ Roses played an intimate invitation-only concert at New York’s Apollo Theater last Thursday. They played a 29-song set, with emphasis on 1987’s Appetite For Destruction on the eve of its 30th anniversary; the Apollo date lands just days before Guns N’ Roses launch the summer North American leg of the Not In This Lifetime Tour in St. Louis on July 27.
