Jane’s Addiction: Alive at 25 is set to be released on multiple audio and video formats on August 4th, and will also be available on select Pay-Per-View (PPV) and Video On Demand (VOD) services through September 3rd. The concert includes the album performed in its entirety, along with the band’s biggest hits, as well as band member interviews in the film.
Young The Giant have released a 2-track single containing “Mirrorball” and “Mind Over Matter (Reprise).” The two tracks were originally released as a limited run on vinyl only on Record Store Day in 2015. Check out the two songs below. Earlier this year, Young The Giant announced the addition of new summer dates of its Home of the Strange Tour. Those North American headline dates begin Wednesday.
The Killers have released another new song, “Run For Cover,” and announced a tour that starts August 8 in Chicago and runs through early next year, including a show January 5th at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. The band will be supporting its new album Wonderful, Wonderful, which comes out September 22nd. The Killers released the album’s lead single, “The Man,” last month. The new record, the band’s fifth, is the follow-up to 2012’s Battle Born.
The father of The Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr., has spilled the beans on the band’s new album, saying, “They’re making a new album now with a great producer called Rick Rubin… I speak to my son every day and he says that they’re so happy. I’m sure this will be a very successful record.” The band released the three track EP Future Present Past in June of last year, but haven’t released a proper studio album since 2013’s Comedown Machine.
