Pearl Jam will debut their concert film, “Let’s Play Two”, and release its companion soundtrack album on September 29th, and will have its television debut October 13 on FS1 immediately following Game 1 of baseball’s American League Championship Series. The soundtrack album offers 17-songs from the Wrigley Field concerts, including a cover of The Beatles’ “I’ve Got A Feeling”, and singer Eddie Vedder’s ode to the Chicago Cubs, “All The Way.” Here’s the trailer:
Former Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx will release a series of projects this fall in honour of the tenth anniversary of his 2007 memoir, “The Heroin Diaries”, which chronicles a year of decadence and depravity that almost cost Sixx his life during the late ‘80’s. It’ll include a special 10th anniversary edition, a companion soundtrack album, and a graphic novel edition. It’ll be out October 24th.
Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor has been making new music. This time, it’s to create the score for The Vietnam War, a new 10-part series directed by Ken Burns that will begin airing on PBS on September 17. The soundtrack will feature ninety minutes of music spread across two CDs, as well as a triple-vinyl set. The series will also come with a soundtrack album full of iconic songs from the era by artists including Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Santana and Marvin Gaye.
