Queen will release a 40th anniversary box set edition of their 1977 album classic, News Of The World, on November 17. It’s the album with “We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions”, and is the band’s best-selling studio release; it peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Among the goodies will be a disc called The Raw Sessions, which digs through the Queen vault to present an alternate version of the original album’s 11 tracks.
Former Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant is sharing the track “Bones Of Saints” as the latest preview to his next album, Carry Fire. It follows the project’s lead single, “The May Queen”. The album was recorded with his touring band the Sensational Space Shifters, and will feature a guest appearance by Pretenders singer Chrissie Hynde. Carry Fire will be released October 13th.
