Linkin Park announced that their first concert since singer Chester Bennington died in July will honour him with a one-night-only celebration: October 27th at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. It will feature a number of other artists in addition to Linkin Park. The band will donate its proceeds from the concert to the One More Light Fund at its Music For Relief charity, which specifically honours Chester. The band also released a video for “One More Light,” the title track of their most recent album.
After a half-century as an independent entity, Rolling Stone magazine is heading for new ownership. Publisher Jann Wenner, who co-founded the magazine in 1967, has agreed to sell his remaining 51% stake that will leave Rolling Stone out of his hands for the first time in its history. And although he’s expressed a desire to stay involved with the publication after the sale, he’s aware that the new owners may choose to move on without him.
Former Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters will take his Us + Them tour to Europe next year. He’s currently on the road across North America and he’s now announced an initial run of six dates in Germany and Austria for May and June next year. The shows will feature classic Pink Floyd tracks, new songs and material from Waters’ latest album Is This The Life We Really Want? Roger plays the ACC October 2nd & 3rd.
