Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl will host the Halloween episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight. Dave will sit in during a week of guest hosts as Jimmy takes time off to be with his family as they prepare for heart surgery on his infant son Billy. Shaquille O’Neal, Channing Tatum and Jennifer Lawrence will also take turns behind the desk. As for tonight, Dave will be joined on the program by actress Kristen Bell and the perfect musical guest for a spooky Halloween: Alice Cooper.
The Ramones are sharing a rough mix of their song “Cretin Hop” ahead of the November 24th release of their expanded 40th anniversary reissue of their 1977 album, Rocket To Russia. The track is included on a disc of bonus material as part of a 3CD Deluxe Edition that also offers the record’s original mix alongside a new 40th anniversary one, and a third disc that presents a complete unreleased concert recording of the band’s December 19, 1977 show at the Apollo Centre in Glasgow, Scotland.
Radiohead cover bands will love this: the band will release a 400-page songbook called “Radiohead Complete” that encompasses every song the band has ever released… their entire discography, as well as b-side and random one-off releases. The book will feature artwork from longtime collaborator Stanley Donwood, responsible for images from the Kid A and Amnesiac albums. “Radiohead Complete” will be out November 27th.
