A new book claims that original AC/DC singer Bon Scott was on the verge of leaving the band when he died after a night of drinking in London in 1980. A friend of Bon’s from Texas says since he was coming into decent money following the success of the Highway To Hell album—and realizing that night-after-night of hard drinking on tour was slowly killing him—he wanted to join his friend in Texas so that they could both quit drinking before it was too late.
Lynyrd Skynyrd have cancelled the final three dates of their 2017 schedule due to a medical emergency involving guitarist Gary Rossington, the lone original member of the band. Details of his health issue were not released when Friday’s (November 3) show in Tallahassee, Florida was cancelled on short notice. The lone original member of the band, Rossington has battled health issues in recent years, including heart surgery this past August which followed a similar procedure in the summer of 2016 after the guitarist suffered a heart attack in late 2015.
Billy Corgan has released a music video for “Aeronaut” from his new album, Ogilala. The video also serves as a preview of a forthcoming virtual reality experience for the project, due for release sometime next year. The video was created inside a 3D world that allowed filmmakers to create a world around Billy’s performance. Billy will also be appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Wednesday, November 8 to catch his live performance of “The Spaniards.”
