I was in Toronto over the weekend. I’m usually once every other month or so and every time I feel like 15 new condos have gone up in the downtown core. It used to be you could see the Dome from a distance. Now you pretty much have to be right in front of it to see it from the Gardiner.
A similar trend (albeit slowly) is developing in Hamilton as you can see what’s next in this story.
Progress is great, and so is a vital downtown. However, I know a lot of Torontonians who miss the “old downtown.” These new condo’s are A) robbing the downtown of some of it’s charm and B) pricing some people right out the city all together.
Do think the same thing is in store for Hamilton??
