Stone Temple Pilots have announced a new single to go along with their new singer. The band have brought in Jeff Gutt (pronounced Goot), a veteran of the Detroit music scene, after sifting through 15,000 submissions. Jeff was invited to audition on the last day in September of last year and had immediate chemistry with the band; they wrote 14 songs for the new album, which will be released in the spring.

Guns N’ Roses were joined by Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters for a performance of their hit, “Paradise City”, at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Foos were in town to play the same venue the following night, so after a quick phone call a guest appearance was set up. Guns N’ Roses’ Not In This Lifetime tour will wrap up at The Forum in Los Angeles, CA on November 29.

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has announced that he will be releasing a new solo album, called Sweetzerland Manifesto, on January 19. It will be his first full studio record since 2009’s Have Guitar, Will Travel. Guest appearances on the new album include Robin Zander of Cheap Trick, Johnny Depp, Zak Starkey and his own sons Tony and Roman Perry.
