KISS bassist Gene Simmons is defending himself after being sued by an unnamed interviewer for sexual misconduct following an alleged recent on-camera incident. The woman states that Gene reached over and grabbed her hand and “forcefully placed it on his knee and held it on his knee… turned standard interview questions into innuendos… forcibly flicked/struck the woman in the middle of her throat” and touched her buttocks white taking a promotional photograph.
Gene responded on social media: “I intend to defend myself against any alleged charges you may have been reading about… I did not assault the person making these accusations in the manner alleged in the complaint or harm her in any way.”
The Foo Fighters performed on Saturday Night Live this past weekend, and they were in a festive mood. Supporting their latest album, Concrete and Gold, the band were joined by three female backup singers and played their current single, “The Sky Is A Neighborhood”, and closed out the show with a stripped-down version of their 1997 hit, “Everlong”, before seguing into a Christmas-themed medley led by the singers that featured “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” and the Charlie Brown Christmas theme, “Linus & Lucy.” Their ugly Christmas sweater action was on-point, too.
The Stone Temple Pilots are streaming a lyric video for the single, “Meadow”, the first track from the band with new singer Jeff Gutt. A full album is expected in the spring. “Meadow” is one of the first songs STP worked on with Gutt, though the instrumental track for the song was written and demoed even before Jeff auditioned for the group in September of 2016. The band will start a spring tour in March.
