One of Australia’s most respected music writers is insisting that despite a tumultuous past few years, AC/DC will continue to record and tour… with Axl Rose fronting the band. He stepped in to help the band through the final dates of the ‘Rock Or Bust’ world tour after singer Brian Johnson was forced to stop touring because of hearing issues. That said, Axl is busy with his day job in Guns N’ Roses with shows scheduled through the end of July, possibly followed by recording a new GN’R album… so AC/DC might have to wait.
The San Francisco Giants have announced that they will be hosting the 6th annual Metallica Night at AT&T Park on April 23rd. They’ll also sticking around to cheer on the team against the Washington Nationals and participate in some between-inning fun. A portion of the proceeds will go to support Metallica’s “All Within My Hands” Foundation.
Smashing Pumpkins have shared a major announcement: band members are reuniting to record a new album, and Rick Rubin will produce it. On Instagram, frontman Billy Corgan revealed that 26 songs are in production and the experience is digging up old memories. However, bassist D’Arcy Wretzky has confirmed that she will not be taking part in the new album.
