Another guilty plea in the human trafficking case in which Hungarians were forced to live like slaves in Hamilton and file false refugee claims.
37 year old Attila Kolompar pleaded guilty to conspiracy, being part of a criminal organization and welfare fraud.
He has been sentenced to 23 months on top of the 16 already served and has been recommended for early parole so he can be deported.
He is the fourth member of the largest human trafficking ring in Canadian history to plead guilty.
Assistant Crown attorney Toni Skarica says they are “an invasion of evil” who knew how to “work the system.”
