The City of Burlington will install its first red light camera on Monday.

The camera at Brant Street and Highway 5 will be one of 12 that will pop up across Halton over the next two years.

Police say red light runners caused more than 3-hundred collisions in Halton between 2006 and 2010.

The fine for running a red is 325 dollars.

Hamilton, Peel Region and Toronto already have similar red light camera programs.
