A five year investigation has led police to a suspect they believe to be a night prowler operating throughout the Golden Horseshoe.

39 year old Alan William Beales of Brantford was arrested this morning by Halton Police as he was driving along Upper Wentworth and Stonechurch Road in Hamilton.
 
Police believe Beales peered through the windows of numerous homes in Hamilton, Halton, Peel, Brantford, Woodstock during the late evening or early morning hours.
 
This past December police say Beales assaulted a Halton officer who was investigating a complaint of a night prowler in a townhouse complex in Burlington. 

Beales is charged with eight counts each of Criminal Harassment, Mischief, Prowl by Night and one count of Assault Peace Officer
