Have A Christmas Tree of Hope?

It's never too early to start thinking about the CHML/Y108 Christmas Tree of Hope.

The City of Hamilton has started searching for the spruce tree that will serve as the centerpiece for decorations in Gore Park in December. The tree must be at least 40 feet tall, in "perfect" condition with no broken branches, clear of overhead wires and accessible from the street.

Anyone who has such a tree to donate can call 905-546-CITY.

Looking for a charitable cause to support in 2009? Consider the CHML/Y108 CHILDREN'S FUND, established in 1976 and mandated to helping children's causes in Hamilton/Burlington. AM900 CHML and Y108 welcome corporate support and fundraising initiatives. Cheques may be made out to the: CHML Children's Fund - In Trust.

THE CHILDREN'S FUND was founded in 1976 by AM900 CHML. It began as a charitable initiative to help raise funds for needy children during the holiday season. The fund became a legally registered charity with tax exempt status shortly thereafter. Fundraising activities are orchestrated year round through both Y108 and CHML, with our major drive being the CHML/Y108 CHRISTMAS TREE OF HOPE campaign. All monies raised are distributed annually through local organizers that cater specificially to the needs of children.
