The High Flying Birds are flying too well, and that means that Noel Gallagher will delay his other project, Amorphous Androgynous. The singer/guitarist talked about the group last fall and recently offered a new track online, but he now says fans shouldn’t expect a full album until next year. “I’ve got a break in the middle of this tour in July, so now the plan is to do something then, and then to finish it off after the tour in October,” Gallagher told NME.com, “So it might come out at the end of the year, but it’s more likely to be next year now.” Gallagher says he’s also in no hurry to rush out the Amorphous Androgynous disc, adding, “I set the benchmark pretty high with this record [Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds], and I’m not just putting out a record for the f***ing sake of it. At the moment, it’s not a great record, so it won’t come out until it is.”
