Matthews, Lillywhite Reunite

2/17/2012

It was a pairing that couldn’t be beat in the ‘90s, and The Dave Matthews Band and producer Steve Lillywhite are seeing of lightning will strike again.  Lillywhite produced the band’s first three albums – “Under The Table And Dreaming,” “Crash,” and “Before These Crowded Streets” – but work on their fourth album stalled over a disagreement in the tone of the record, and the disc was shelved in favor of their “Everyday” release.  But an eventual leak and fan demand eventually led the group to revisit those sessions with Lillywhite and issue the “Busted Stuff” disc.  Now the group are back working with the producer again, recently starting sessions on an album that will be released later this year.  The band will be touring in support of the still-untitled effort this summer.
